Beach Resort, Hotel & Ryokan Duties
Front desk, gift shop, housekeeping, bell, restaurant staff, chief's assistance & etc.

JPY 710 ~/hour (Before tax)
Early Dec ~ Late Mar or Early Apr
Ski Resort, Hotel & Ryokan Duties
Front desk, gift shop, housekeeping, bell, restaurant staff, ticketing, ski rental, ski school reception, day care & etc.
Hokkaido, Nagano, Gunma
JPY 750 ~/hour (Before tax)
approx. 40-48 hours/week.
appox. 1-2 days/week; during peak period, 5 days/month
Accommodation & Facilities
Dormitory will be provided in some resorts at free/subsidized rates. Some dorms are 1 person/room, some are 2-4 persons/room.
Toilet & commual bath are equppied outside. Never dirt or put a towel in the bath as you will share bath with other colleagues. You may use the hot spring in Hotel or Ryokan, but always bear in mind that customers are in the first priority.
TV will be equipped in room or common room. However, some resorts do not have TV as the TV system in Japan changed recently.
Some dorms provide internet service, however, some do not. You may use the Wifi in the hotel lobby or in the office. Or you can also prepare by yourself. Please be reminded that some resorts are in mountain top or suburban area, signal may be not well received.
Meals (if any)
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided in some resorts at free/subsidized rates. Some are optional to purchase, you can also prepare by yourself. Meals are not gorgeous but are simple and nutrient.
Own arrangement from/to ski resorts, transportation allowance will be provided in some resorts. Guideline will also be provided.
20.42% of income tax is needed while you work in Japan with working holiday visa, it will be deducted in the salary every month.
Kosei Pension & Health Insurance
Some resorts or hotels require all staff to join the company's package compulsorily. This is regulated by Japanese's law and a fixed amount of pension and health insurance will be deducted from the salary every month.
Free/subsidized rate at lift ticket, rental gears or marine activities.

Before Arriving Resorts
Make sure you have the followings
A valid passport.
A valid working holiday visa.
A valid travel insurance.
Make sure the airport immigration officers stamp a 1-year landing permission on your passport.
Please bring the followings
Cash for your day off as no ATM in the resorts.
(For ski resort only) Snow boots, sport shoes, knit hat, gloves, muffles, fleece inner, cotton trousers and etc.
(For hotel & ryokan) Black leather shoes, stockings for ladies.
Medicine, slippers, hangers, mirror, toiletries, bathing tools, washing powder and etc.
Practice your Japanese
Please practice more your Japanese before you come to the resort, especially the keigo as you have to use it in the resort! We will send you some useful notes when you have received a job offer.
We recommend you to buy it in the airport upon your arrival if you need to use it at once. Otherwise, if you buy it in town, you have to show your alien card.
Some resorts do not provide internet service, so please prepare it by yourself. We cannot guarantee if the network covers the resorts. So we recommend you to find some network companies which provide trial.
You can arrive/send your baggage 1 ~ 2 days earlier. Please do inform us.
After Arriving Resorts
Please register your address at city hall. We will provide bus/train information and directions.
Once you have registered the address, please open up a bank account for receiving your salary.
- Go to Apply Now and provide us the information as stated.
- Profile screening, then we will contact you and make an appointment for Japanese interview by Skype.
- For those who passes the Skype interview, we will judge which resort suit you much and will send you the working details.
- Once you accept the working details, we will send your informaiton to the resort.
- We will send an email to those successful applicants.
- Successful applicants will be receiving the job documents via email.
- Your own arrangement to ski resorts/hotels and sign employment contract upon arrival.
哈哈! 不經不覺我的工作假期已經過了1/5 的時間, 其實也只是2個月左右, 每天都在忙碌又愉快中渡過, 忙著適應日本的生活, 忙著結識新朋友, 新同事, 忙著工作, 忙著認識新事物, 感覺很充實.
給大家介紹一下我現在工作, 我正在北海道某家滑雪場工作, 很鄰近市區, 交通亦很方便, 所以來自日本或海外的遊客亦不少. 我主要的工作是溫泉入口的"受付", 賣票和給海外旅客講解溫泉的使用方法, 可以接觸到不同國家的人, 感覺對世界又有更進一步的認識放假的時候, 除了外出外,也可以留在滑雪場玩樂, 因為員工可以免費或享有折扣使用設施, 時間絕不會白白浪費.
